It is noticeable that both insects are widely deemed as feminine symbols, especially the spider – an ancient symbol of womanhood.}

_{Lavinia has sensual and curvy appearance, with big lips in a heart shape, which may be an interpretation together with her title of "Bride witch" to the first night of a married couple. This interpretation links her to the "lust" attribute.}

_{It is good to notice though that "lust" as a sin is not a sexual desire only, but an intense desire in general. The Witch wants a Prince Charming no matter what. Also, although her body is in a pleasant shade of pink, her lower half is deformed and incomplete, in a rotten fashion as if it was dead – meaning literally she cannot be attributed to "lust" as a "sexual desire". This may be a reflex of Hotaru's abuse experiences.}

_{Where Cordelia (the Timeline I Witch) was the Witch that loathed sensual love and wanted her "other half", Lavinia is the Witch that embraces the sexual aspect of love (passion) and "is completed" – she wants the Prince who completed her once again. Where Cordelia was horrendous and disfigured as in anguish, Lavinia is seemingly secure of herself and feminine.}

_{Ironically enough, where "Cordelia" was a Shakespeare's character who did not suffer from romantic disappointments, "Lavinia" (Titus Andronicus) was violently raped and had her tongue and hands cut off so she couldn't reveal the identity of her perpetrators in her original story.}

_{Lavinia is a Witch of womanhood and femininity, characterized by her affinities with bridal and romantic wishes and spiders. She can even be linked to motherhood for she has minion with the appearance of an infant (and her lower pair of arms crossed in her womb in a pregnant woman fashion).}

_{She may symbolize Hotaru Aoi's desire of a normal life, a normal love – to not be defined anymore by her bad experiences in the past (which was Cordelia). Although the lower half of Lavinia may symbolize she was still not completely healed.}

_{(The signals appoints all to the fact that she regains control of her womanhood again – which may be that she either wanted to give herself to Shirou or she already did.)}

_{An interesting element is also John, her minion. "John" is a direct reference to "the most beloved son" (described in the Bible). Combining to the hands on her womb, it may be a symbol of her desire of motherhood.}

_{Also, where Lavinia's head is in a half-heart shape, John’s head is a full heart.}

_{The mermaid tail of her minion is a reflection of her dreamy nature – or even the image of a "idealized child". Although, following her butterfly symbolism, it can also signify the tail of a caterpillar.}
